domiciliary

Caxton Domiciliary Care Services is part of Caxton Recruiting Services Ltd. Our aim is to Promote and develop the independence of Service Users by encouraging individuals to do as much as possible for themselves and take part in social activities. There is a greater move towards personalization, which gives greater choice and control to the Service User regarding their care delivery, rather than the prescriptive method of homecare where specific duties are undertaken by Care Workers at specific times.

Caxton Domiciliary Care follows stringent procedures when recruiting care staff and provide appropriate training to ensure that staff can deliver care safely and effectively. We strive to promote a standard of excellence which embraces fundamental principles of Good Care Practice that is witnessed and evaluated through the practice, conduct and control of quality care in the domestic environment.

The Care we provide is holistic and is Service Users centred. We take the time to get to know the capabilities, aspirations and challenges of each of our Service Users and help them to work toward realistic and achievable goals.

Caxton Domiciliary Care works with other public sector providers to give our Service Users the opportunity to live independently in the familiar surrounds of their own homes. This can have an enormous impact on their confidence and wellbeing. Our domiciliary care team can provide a range of care solutions to enable our Service Users to stay at home for as long as they choose to be there. Our domiciliary Care services include:

Domestic Care : Dusting and vacuuming; cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, changing bed linen and towels, laundry and ironing, shopping for weekly groceries, help with meal preparation and assistance managing bill payments

Personal care: Dressing and undressing, washing and bathing, shaving, assistance with hair and makeup, nail care, countenance care and support with prompting prescribed medication

Companionship: Conversation, encouraging contact with family and friends, help with reading and keeping up correspondence. We also provide respite care services.

Activities: Encouraging and supporting hobbies and interests at home or in the local community, encouraging exercise such as walking or a dance class, arranging and accompanying people on social occasions or prayer meetings, accompanying people on visits to special places and local attractions, accompanying to day centers or other community day activities, accompanying people on doctors’ appointments, and keeping and managing a diary.

We often use creative methods to find new approaches and overcome obstacles when one of our Service Users is having difficulty. This helps each individual maintain their confidence and independence for as long as possible.
